The Braemar Highland Gathering is one of the best known and established events of its kind, with its origins going back over hundreds of years. All the activities you could hope for in a Highland Gathering are there including caber tossing,highland dancing, tug-of-war, putting the stone, piping, racing and throwing the hammer. Expect lost of tartan and tradtional music and the presence of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.
Admission on the day costs £10 per person – seats can be booked in advance for a higher fee (see website for details).
In 2017 it will be held on Saturday September 2nd.
