|Where:||Shenington, Oxfordshire at Holy Trinity Church at the East end of the village|
Shenington is known for its annual grass-strewing in church; for three weekends beginning on Whit Sunday, fresh grass is spread on the church floor. This is a related custom to rushbearing and rush-strewing, when the earth floors in church were covered with greenery to keep them fresh (see separate articles).
In 2017 Whit Sunday falls on June 4th.
The Evensong Service is at 6pm. For access to the church at other times check first before travelling.
