Spalding Flower Parade

Where: Formerly at Spalding, Lincs starting at Springfields (off A151)
When: Formerly Saturday before May Day Bank Holiday
Time: Formerly 2pm-4pm


Circus theme

Spalding is the centre of UK bulb growing and each spring used to celebrate this by hosting the annual Flower Parade of tulip-covered floats interspersed with marching bands, entertainers and jugglers. The parade route wound its way all through town led by the Flower Queen and her attendants, finishing at Springfields.

Helpful Hints

It was a colourful family friendly event and all were welcome.

2013 was the last year the parade took place, after being an annual fixture for well over 50 years.
