Cressbrook Good Friday Band

Where: Cressbrook, Derbyshire on the Village Green
When: Good Friday
Time: 12 noon

Cressbrook Rock

On Good Friday the Cressbrook Band perform at home , climbing up the steep Friday Rock (also known as Bull Tor) just to the east of the village at Cressbrook Dale in a tradition going back over 100 years and revived a decade ago. Originally held as a religious service, now the focus is on the music and hymn singing, after which refreshments are available at the Cressbrook Club in the village. Visitors listen from the Village Green, which has a good view of the Band on the Rock, and the music floats down from on high above them. Cressbrook Band is a community brass band with a wide repertoire!

Helpful Hints
