|Where:||Kettlewell, North Yorkshire|
|When:||2nd Saturday in August for 9 days (two weekends covered)|
There are now many imitators countrywide but this Scarecrow Festival has to be one of the biggest and best. Started in 1994 as a charity fundraising event, it still raises money for the local school and church. A Scarecrow Trail leaflet is available to guide you round the village so you don’t miss anything out – expect dozens of models in gardens, on rooves, looking out of windows…everywhere.
Easy to negotiate paths around the village and parking well signposted on the edge (don’t try to park in the centre or you’ll spoil the view).
In 2017 it starts on Saturday August 12th and runs until Sunday 20th .
