|Where:||Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre.|
|Time:||From 11 am each day|
The ever popular outlaw and his merry men are celebrated each August at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre near Edwinstowe. It’s a relatively modern event, but has been well established for over quarter of a century and is aimed at families (of all ages!). Expect drama, jesters, juggling, jousting, falconry, living history and story telling, with an archery competition for the famous Silver Arrow on the Sunday.
It takes place over several days during August . In 2016 it ran from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th August – 2017 dates are yet to be announced.
Parking costs £5 but entry to the festival is free and the Visitor Centre opens at 10 am. It’s a really fun event and fantastic value. We stayed all day in 2012!
