| Where: | Countrywide |
| When: | Good Friday |
| Time: | All day |

Traditionally, Christians abstain from eating meat on Good Friday in recognition that Jesus sacrificed his flesh upon that day- and that means that very many still turn to eating fish instead, whether or not they observe other religious aspects of the festival. It’s the busiest day in the year for that staple of British cuisine, fish and chips, and queues form outside chippies all over the land.
Helpful Hints
In 2027 Good Friday falls upon 26th March. Easter moves around in date as it’s linked to the lunar cycle, so can be in March or April depending on the year.
Wherever you are, there should be a nearby Fish and Chip shop.
Photos are actually from Easter Tuesday, as our award-winning mobile van visits our village on Tuesdays.
